Special message from Dani:
Hey, so I know what it's like.
Years ago when I had my first two kids, I was constantly frustrated with myself for not being able to spend hours in prayer and Bible study.
My husband worked full time and I had no family around to help me.
I kept getting caught in the spiral of feeling sorry for myself, you know the kind the, "there is no one to help me" boo hoo stuff.
Church was a drag because it meant running after my two-year old and trying to get him to stay quiet.
I was getting really frustrated with my lack of growth.
In desperation, I reached out to a friend who had three little kids and had a thriving, faith-filled life - I know because I experienced it first hand!
She told me a secret.
"You have to make it work for you, Dani" she said.
Then she showed me her art, and told me that she would take moments throughout her week to pray creatively. Sometimes it was with her paints, and sometimes it was simply added amidst her cleaning.
I felt totally released.
"You mean, I don't HAVE to study and pray for two hours a day to be 'faith-filled'?"
It sounds silly actually saying that aloud, but in my heart I really believed that's what God wanted.
From then on, I realized that it was necessary for me to figure out how to have a thriving faith life NOT dependent on events OR whether or not the kids were around!
This led to new ways of experimenting with a prayer and worship lifestyle as a stay-at-home mama.
I realized that motherhood is a special grace-filled phase.
And that God wanted the WHOLE OF ME - God is super holistic.
I learned that He uses creativity to boost your faith knowledge and experience, and to help you grow!
So now for the last seven years Taylor and I have been teaching this in different ways and in different countries and even practicing it with unique groups of women from all over the world.
We have seen first-hand how taking a creativity moment - or retreat - can transform women.
It can give them the momentum and life that affects their everyday.
And we want the same for you, right now!
